An earthquake measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale (SR) shook the East Nusa Tenggara, Saturday 21, 2012 morning. Tremors felt in Sumba Island at around 4:32 pm. Tremor was also felt in Waigapu. The quake caused no damage and panic residents of Sumba Island. Until now, the activities of people continue to run normally. The quake was centered 48 kilometers southwest of West Manggarai, NTT.

Although the vibration caused quite strong, but the quake was not a potential tsunami.
